Edwin Sargent Killed in Automobile Collision on Missouri Interstate 70
Icy roads may have contributed to a fatal automobile accident in Missouri Interstate Highway 70 on December 23. The pileup caused numerous personal injuries and one fatality. 50 year-old Edwin Sargent of North Carolina originally survived the pileup but was then fatally struck by tractor-trailer being operated by Derell Boyd of Centralia Illinois. Boyd's tractor-trailer completely destroyed Sargent's car, which was in the center median, before striking Boyd.
The surviving next of kin of Edwin Sargent may have viable claim for wrongful death against the operator of the tractor-trailer and/or any other persons determined to be negligent in causing this collision.
