Manuel Saldana was merging eastbound onto Missouri Interstate 70 in Saline County when a tractor-trailer crashed into his vehicle from behind.  Two small children in Saldana's vehicle sustained personal injuries as a result of this truck crash.  8 year-old Jennifer Jaime and 6 year-old Manuel Jaime sustained moderate personal injuries and were taken to I70 Medical Center by ambulance.  The 2007 Freightliner tractor-trailer being operated by Eric Thomas of St. Louis, Missouri, may have been going to fast for road conditions when it slammed into the back of the Chevrolet that carried young Jennifer and Manuel.  Missouri State Highway Patrol officers are still investigating the incident to determine if any citations should be issued to the driver of the tractor-trailer.
