20 year-old Joshua Gregg Dies in Fatal Warrensburg Missouri Car Crash

Authorities report that Spencer Williams of Warrensburg Missouri was driving his 2004 Chevy too fast for road conditions and failed to safely negotiate a curve on Route Y.  Williams tried to overcorrect and regain control of the Chevy which caused the car to overturn off of the roadway.  20 year-old Joshua Gregg was ejected from Williams' car and sustained catastrophic personal injuries.  Gregg was flown to St. Lukes Hospital in Kansas City for emergency medical care but was later pronounced dead.  St. Lukes Hospital is one of the only Level One trauma centers in Kansas City equiped to treat catastrophic personal injuries sustained in automobile accident.

This Missouri car crash happened at 12:15 a.m., just after the turn of the new year.  Authorities are still investigating the circumstances of the collision to determine if citations should be issued to Williams, who was not injured in the crash.  The Chevy was completely totaled.  This crash marked the first serious car crash of the new year for Kansas City.  Young drivers commonly don't have the experience in split-second control manuevers necessary to regain control of a vehicle that has left the roadway.  Our injury lawyers commonly represent passengers in vehicles such as these were the driver was negligent and should have exercised a higher degree of care in the operation of his/her car.
