Car Blows Red Light on Route 94 and Causes Deadly Car Crash in St. Charles County Missouri
Authorities report that 25 year-old Adam Montgomery of St. Peters Missouri failed to stop at a red light on Route 94 in St. Charles County, causing a serious car crash with multiple serious personal injuries and one death. Montgomery was traveling Northbound on Route 94 and made a left turn onto Pralle Lane through a red light. 25 year-old Mathew Salmi of St. Charles could not avoid a collision with Montgomery's car and broadsided the vehicle in an extremely violent collision. Salmi sustained serious personal injuries and was rushed to St. Joseph's Health Center for emergency medical treatment. This crash happened at approximately 3:30 a.m. on Saturday night (sunday morning).
Adam Montgomery, along with passengers Zachery Shaffer and Joseph Dixon, all sustained injuries. 22 year-old Troy Montgomery sustained catastrophic personal injuries and was transported to St. John's Medical Center in Creve Coeur. He was later pronounced dead by emergency room trauma surgeon Dr. Stanley Sakabu. Authorities are still investigating the incident to determine any other contributing causes to the collision. A police report should be completed within 14 days.
