Authorities report that 27 year-old Therese Martensson traveled over the centerline of traffic on Northbound Route W in Jefferson County Missouri.  The result was a head-on collision that seriously injured 24 year-old Chad Milton of Desoto Missouri.  Milton sustained serious personal injuries and was rushed by ambulance to St. Anthony's Medical Center for emergency treatment.  This head-on automobile crash resulted in serious injuries for Martensson as well, and both vehicles were completed totalled.

Authorities have not commented on why Martensson crossed the centerline of traffic and caused this head-on automobile crash in Jefferson County Missouri.  However, crossing the centerline is a common cause of serious collisions in the state of Missouri and is of growing concern for law enforcement and the Missouri Department of Transportation Safety Commission.
