38 year-old Gina Perkins was seriously injured in a car crash on southbound highway 141 in Jefferson County Missouri early this morning.  Authorities report that Kyle Jackson of Imperial Missouri ran a red light and pulled directly into the path of Perkins' Toyota SUV, striking her car on the drivers side.  The force of impact was enough to cause substantial property damage to both vehicles.  Authorities are unclear what caused Kyle Jackson to disobey the traffic signal.  One may suspect that the 16 year-old was inattentive or just lacked driving experience.
