A serious car crash in Niangua Missouri was reported late yesterday afternoon.  19 year-old Kendra Manley of Marshfield was driving westbound on Route J near Highway 44 when she failed yield to oncoming traffic at the I-44 ramp.   Manley pulled directly into the path of a Ford pickup being driver by Christopher Smith of Niangua Missouri causing a broadside collision.  17 year-old Christopher Smith sustained serious personal injuries and was transported by ambulance from the crash scene to St. Johns Hospital in Springfield Missouri for emergency treatment. 

Two other passengers in Smith's pickup were reported to have serious personal injuries, including 9 year-old Samantha Peebles and 8 year-old Joseph Scott.  Both Peebles and Scott were ambulated and taken to St. Johns Medical Center in Springfield Missouri for treatment.  St. Johns Medical Center in Springfield Missouri is one of the closest Level-One trauma center to Niangua.
