Semi-Truck Crashes on Highway 65, Shutting Down Highway for Several Hours in Springfield Missouri
Missouri State Highway Patrol closed the northbound lanes of Highway 65 today for several hours, in Springfield Missouri. The tractor-trailer crash occurred on Highway 65 in Catalpa, just as the truck was on a bridge. Missouri Department of Transportation and the Environmental Protection Agency were called to the accident scene because several hundred gallons of diesel fuel was spilled by the damaged semi-truck. Authorities are not exactly clear on what caused the semi-truck to crash, and continue to investigate the scene and collect evidence.
