Hillsboro Car Accident Seriously Injures Two People
Authorities report that 18 year-old Brittnay Reese was driving her car across the intersection of Route M to Highway 21 when she failed to yield to another car being driven by Annette Hastings of Hillsboro Missouri. Hastings sustained serious personal injuries, was ambulated and rushed to St. Anthony's Medical Center for emergency medical treatment. Hastings was wearing her seatbelt at the time of the collision. The serious car crash totalled both vehicles.
Failing to yield at an intersection can caused catastrophic personal injuries and even death due to the shear fact that many of these collisions are 'broadside' impacts, which causes extensive trauma to the brain and spine. Broadside and head-on collisions cause the majority of personal injury in Missouri car accidents.
