63 year-old Shirley Garrett was driving westbound in the eastbound lanes of Highway 40 in St. Charles when she caused a head-on car accident with a Ford minivan.  The minivan was being driven by Kathi Klemp of Wright City Missouri, and her 9 year-old son Hunter Klemp was riding as a passenger.  Kathi and her son Hunter sustained serious personal injuries as a result of this St. Charles Car Accident and were transported to St. Johns Hospital by ambulance.  St. Johns Hospital is one of only three level-1 trauma centers in St. Louis.  The Ford minivan was then struck from behind by a Chevy, causing injuries and total damage to all vehicles involved.
