Authorities are continuing an investigation into the cause of a school bus accident in St. Charles County early Thursday morning.  Initial reports indicate that the front right wheel of the bus somehow caught the end of the roadway on Highway D, causing the school bus to veer off the road and into a deep ditch.  Five students from Francis Howell Middle School sustained serious personal injuries and were transported by ambulance to local hospitals for treatment.  Specific reports of their personal injuries have not been disclosed.  The injured students were as young as 12 and as old as 15.
