A fatal car accident was caused late Tuesday afternoon when a grain truck lost its rear tandem on Missouri Highway 6 near Jamesport.  51 year-old David Leeper was hauling a dual tandem grain trailer when the rear tandem wheel combination broke apart and remained in the middle of the road.  A van transporting several occupants was unable to avoid a collision with the tire combination, striking it, and was caused to collide with Leeper's large grain truck.  The impact was extremely violent and caused significant personal injuries and three fatalities.  Chester Gingerich, Perry Gingerich, and Maria Hostetler, all Jamesport residents, lost their lives in this fatal truck accident.  The surviving family members who are mourning this loss may be able to file a Missouri wrongful death claim against Leeper and whoever he may have been working for at the time of the crash.
