Grain Truck Loses Trailer and Causes Fatal Accident Near Jamesport
A fatal car accident was caused late Tuesday afternoon when a grain truck lost its rear tandem on Missouri Highway 6 near Jamesport. 51 year-old David Leeper was hauling a dual tandem grain trailer when the rear tandem wheel combination broke apart and remained in the middle of the road. A van transporting several occupants was unable to avoid a collision with the tire combination, striking it, and was caused to collide with Leeper's large grain truck. The impact was extremely violent and caused significant personal injuries and three fatalities.
