Authorities responded to a Halltown head-on car accident Friday evening.  Reports indicate that 39 year-old Derek Bridges was driving his Dodge Ram truck in the westbound lanes of Interstate 44 near Springfield when he collided head-on with a small Honda CRV.  Husband and wife Hyun Moon and Yong Moon were seriously injured in the crash and were transported to St. Johns Medical Center in Springfield Missouri for emergency treatment.  Both victims were wearing their seat belts at the time of the crash.  Damage to both vehicles was extensive and were placed on wreckers and taken to Bielliers in Mount Vernon for examination by the insurance companies of interest.
