Rogersville Car Accident Totals Two Vehicles and Sends Four to the Hospital
A Nissan Maxima being driven by 44 year-old Carolyn Barnes pulled into the path of another vehicle late Tuesday afternoon in Rogersville. The Maxima was intending to head southbound on Missouri 125 when it pulled into the path of 18 year-old Ronnie Sawyer, also of Rogersville. Sawyer and 20 year-old Madison Fosburgh sustained serious injuries from the car accident and were ambulated to St. Johns Medical Center in Springfield for emergency care. This was a near head-on car accident, resulting in complete damage to both vehicles. The totalled cars were taken from the scene by Apex Towing.
Failing to yield and pulling into the path of another vehicle regularly causes head-on car accidents, with deadly results. Whether inattention, experience, or adverse driving conditions are to blame, the police will ultimately interview witnesses and review evidence to determine if driver error contributed to the cause of the crash.
