St. Louis Police and the Missouri Highway Patrol responded to a fatal car accident near Lucas and Hunt around 4:00 a.m. early Thursday morning.  Authorities report that a car struck a street sweeper truck and crashed out of control.  The make of the car that impacted the truck was not recognizable to responders, as the car sustained heavy damage and had to be placed on wrecker before being removed from the scene.  The driver of the car was pronounced dead at the scene.
