Two Fair Grove Residents Taken to Hospital After Serious Car Accident
Pulling into the path of another vehicle without yielding the right of way causes serious car accidents in Missouri each month. This is precisely what took place early Saturday afternoon on Highway 65 in Fair Grove. 31 year-old Jonathon Barker and his 9 year-old daughter Madilyn Barker were seriously injured when their small Honda Civic impacted a Ford pickup being driven by 40 year-old Mark Halley. Authorities report that Halley pulled directly into the path of Barker while traveling eastbound on Highway 65, approximately four miles north of Springfield Missouri, causing a t-bone car crash. The Barkers were transported to St. Johns Hospital in Springfield for emergency medical care.
Failing to yield to the right of way is a violation of Missouri Revised Statute 304.012, which requires all Missouri motorists to exercise the highest degree in the care and operation of their motor vehicles, so not endanger life or property. Failing to observe any Missouri Traffic Statute can result in the negligent driver being charged with negligence per se in a Missouri Circuit Civil Court. The persons injured in a car accident involving a driver who was negligent per se will have a viable car accident injury claim and right to recovery in a court of law.
If you have been in a car accident involving injuries and a negligent driver, contact a Springfield Car Accident Injury Lawyer to learn of the types of compensation that may be claimed in a civil court. An experienced injury attorney is available day or night by calling
