Vehicle Attempting to Pass Strikes Other Cars, Causing Serious Injuries

Authorities report that 18 year-old Nathaniel Brennan was attempting to pass another vehicle on Route Y in Windsor Missouri when he crashed into another vehicle.  The 2004 Chevy being driven by Kathlene McKeehan-Brown was pushed off of the road and down a ditch before striking several stationary objects.  McKeehan-Brown sustained serious injuries and was transported by EMS to Golden Valley Hospital for treatment.  Authorities are investigating Brennan's actions and charges are pending the outcome of that investigation.  Section 304 of the Missouri Revised Statutes (Missouri Rules of the Road) requires all motorists to exercise care and caution when attempting to pass other vehicles.  Passing on two-lane rural roads can be especially dangerous, which is why the majority of these roads are no-passing zones.

Injuries from a serious car accident can take weeks, months, or even a lifetime to recovery from.  Often times future medical care is needed, even if the crash only caused soft-tissue injuries.  A competent orthopedist should be consulted with to determine what future medical care may be needed and at what cost.  Those future medical costs should then incorporated into a car accident injury claim and presented to the defendant's insurance company by a Missouri car accident injury lawyer.  Contact a car accident injury attorney for a free consultation by calling (866) 840-3636.  Don't be victimized twice by an unfair insurance claims adjuster.  Only an experienced injury attorney can negotiate a fair settlement from a well-funded commercial insurance carrier.
