Our Missouri truck accident lawyers are investigating a 2 vehicle crash which occurred Thursday afternoon
on US 63 in Randolph County, Missouri. Melissa Sanchez of Vandalia,
Missouri was operating her vehicle on southbound 63 when a dump truck being
driven by 67-year-old Ronald Denson of Clifton Hill, Missouri pulled out in
front of her. Denson's failure to yield caused a violent collision,
critically injuring Ms. Sanchez and her passenger Judy Dodd of Curryville,
Missouri. Both Sanchez and Dodd were taken to Moberly Regional Hospital
to be treated for their injuries. Truck driver Mr. Denson was reportedly
uninjured and able to drive his truck from the scene with minimal damage.
It
is unknown why Mr. Denson prematurely entered the highway, directly in to the
oncoming traffic flow of Ms. Sanchez. The insurance companies involved in this case may dispute liability as a "he said, she said" type of truck crash. The insurance carrier or Mr. Denson and/or
his dump truck may contest responsibility for covering all damages sustained in this
wreck. This includes damage to the vehicles, as well as personal injuries to both
Ms. Sanchez and her passenger, Ms. Dodd. However, it is critical for anyone injured in a Missouri dump truck accident to obtain quality medical care as soon as possible. It is also critical to cease communication with
insurance companies. Often times through letters, statements, and
documents to sign, insurance companies of the at-fault party will attempt to
'trick' the injured in to settling a claim.
Seeking
experienced legal representation at this time is also in the best interest of the injured
parties in order to fully understand their claim and what to expect as a
result. Being involved in a Missouri motor vehicle crash is tragic enough - do not
add to this tragedy and be treated unfairly by an insurance company. Contact a Missouri car crash attorney for free by calling (866) 840-3636 and learn all you can about the
process of an injury claim from someone who is experienced in commercial motor vehicle accident litigation.
Our
Missouri car crash attorneys are investigating an auto accident which occurred late
Tuesday night on Highway 129 in Chariton County, Missouri. 19-year-old
Jessica Schachteley of Higbee, Missouri was driving her vehicle on Highway 129
when 70-year-old Joyce Widmer of Salisbury, Missouri pulled out in front of
Schachteley. Widmer was at the intersection of 2 nd Street and
Highway 129 when she prematurely entered the highway, causing her to be struck
by the front of Schachteley's vehicle on the driver's side. Schachteley
was taken to Moberly Regional Medical Center to be treated for injuries
sustained. Widmer was transported by emergency helicopter to University
Hospital in Columbia for her injuries.
When
you have been injured in Chariton County car accident, it is critical to immediately seek
all the medical treatment you need. A minor ache or pain can turn in to
something much more serious if left untreated. Therefore, it is in the
injured's best interest to have any medical condition not present before a
motor vehicle crash properly evaluated by a medical professional. Should
something once opined as 'minor' turn in to a more in depth injury, it is documented
through medical records that you were immediately plagued with this condition
post-crash and sought medical care right away.
When
evaluating you injury claim, a time lapse in medical treatment is twisted by
insurance companies to mean that you were not in significant pain. Though
most often times this is far from the truth, a time lapse can be very damaging
to your claim. If you find yourself in this situation, are unsure what
sort of medical treatment to seek, or are baffled by how an insurance company
is valuing your injury claim, contact a team of Missouri personal injury attorneys to
help get your claim back on track. We are here to assist you 24 hours a
day and have your future in our best interest.
Our St. Clair Missouri truck accident lawyers are following a puzzling story of a fatal truck accident which took place early Saturday afternoon. Reports indicate that 37 year-old Chad Long of Ash Grove Missouri was driving a 2007 tractor-trailer when his truck pulled directly into the path of a small Oldsmobile Alero. 22 year-old Grace Stanton, the driver of the Alero, was fatally injured as a result of the violent collision. Ms. Stanton, a resident of Springfield, Missouri, was wearing her safety belt at the time of the crash. Her passenger, Joshua Thompson, was seriously injured and rushed to a nearby hospital. As a Springfield wrongful death lawyer, I can tell you that this was a preventable incident that, on its face, appears to be the sole result of careless conduct on behalf of the truck driver. Our lawyers will continue to follow this truck crash to see of criminal charges are filed against the commercial truck driver. Federal safety regulations require that truck drivers be tested for drugs and alcohol in their system when they cause a fatal semi-truck accident in Missouri, or any other state for that matter. The safety regulations in place are designed to minimize serious or fatal accidents involving commercial motor vehicles, but with the increase in collisions in Missouri in the past 12 months, our lawyers aren't sure that these regulations are being enforced properly. This particular fatal truck crash in Lowry City will result in an accident reconstruction report being created by the Missouri Highway Patrol. Officers will use forensic evidence from the scene to determine all of the contributing circumstances to the collision. One of the first pieces of evidence that our Missouri truck accident lawyers look are driver log books. Truck drivers are only allowed to operating their big rigs for a certain number of hours in each 24 hour period. Referred to by safety regulations at "hours of service." The hours of service rules are designed to prevent fatigued truck drivers from endangering the lives of themselves and other motorists on state roadways. Truck driver fatigue is not all about being tired, it can also be caused by other factors such as prescription medication, sleep apnea, or muscle fatigue. Our lawyers often retain experts in human factors to offer opinions as to whether or not truck driver fatigue could have created a hazard that contributed to a fatal truck accident. A fatigued truck driver is a serious safety hazard for others on the road. Another contributing factor to most fatal tractor-trailer accidents in Missouri is inadequate truck driver training. The training of a truck driver does not stop when the trucker gets his or her commercial drivers' license (CDL). Driver training is an ongoing process that is the responsibility of both the driver and the trucking company that pays him/her to haul freight on their behalf. We subpoena all training materials provided to the truck driver to verify whether or not poor training was a factor in the crash. Unfortunately, we find that inadequate training is a common factor in all of our current truck accident injury cases. If you have questions about a Missouri tractor-trailer accident, contact an experienced lawyer who will aggressively pursue any reckless truck driver or trucking company that caused a serious or fatal truck accident. Our lawyers can be reached immediately, toll-free, at (866) 840-3636.
Our
Missouri truck accident lawyers are investigating a serious collision which occurred Thursday afternoon on
Interstate 70 in Boone County. Leonard Flowers, 64, and Elizabeth
Flowers, 63, both of St. Louis, were on westbound I-70 in Boone County.
An exhaust pipe fell off of a multi-ton semi truck traveling ahead of them,
littering the interstate with debris. Mr. Flowers swerved in an attempt to avoid
striking the pipe, but failed and lost control of his vehicle after hitting the
exhaust pipe. Mr. Flowers' vehicle traveled off the interstate and rolled
until coming to a rest in a ditch. Both Mr. and Mrs. Flowers were taken
by ambulance to the nearest hospital to be treated for their injuries.
Mr. Andrew Moss - driver of the Freightliner tractor-trailer - was uninjured.
In
a commercial motor vehicle crash such as this, truck driver Andrew Moss was not
necessarily at fault as an individual driver, but fault is indisputably
attributed to his trucking company. Mr. and Mrs. Flowers may be entitled to full and
fair recovery from the trucking company and/or its insured for the injuries
which they sustained as a result of Mr. Moss' faulty vehicle mechanics.
No matter what the details or contributing factors of a crash are, it is
crucial for those individuals who have been innocently injured to know that
they are able to seek compensation for such injury.
Truck drivers must properly secure their loads as required by Missouri law and the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations. When these multi-ton loads of freight are not properly secured, the resulting injuries can be catastrophic or fatal. Call our Missouri tractor-trailer accident attorneys today so
we may better assist you in calculating what a fair settlement amount would
be. The more information you have will only help you to maximize your
recovery from responsible parties and protect future motorists from being injured.

Our Missouri tractor-trailer accident lawyers are following a major crash that took place in Atchison County late last night. David Hollenberg was driving a Freightliner semi-truck northbound on I-29 near Rock Port, Mo., when he attempted to pass a Dodge vehicle. The semi-truck clipped the back of the Dodge and caused it to flip over on the driver's side door. Mr. Hollenberg then proceeded to "snowplow" the Dodge down the highway and off to the east side of I-29. The four residents of Cold Springs, New York, in the Dodge were ejected upon rollover. 20 year-old Christopher Darman, 18 year-old Rebecca Darman, 24 year-old Amanda Playford, and 54 year-old Joseph Darman were all critically injured. Joseph, Rebecca, and Amanda were flown to Omaha for emergency medical care at a level-1 trauma facility. Christopher Darman, who reportedly sustained the least severe injuries, was transported to Grape Community Hospital in Iowa. Troop H of the Missouri Highway Patrol continues to investigate this Rock Port tractor-trailer crash to determine probable contributing circumstances to the cause of the crash. It is yet to be released whether truck driver Hollenberg, a resident of Cameron, MO, will be charged with any traffic violations. Overtaking vehicles in a tractor-trailer is dangerous, and lane change maneuvers such as this are closely regulated by Missouri law and the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration. Any lane change violation is deemed a "serious safety violation" by the FMCSA, and can result in suspension or termination of a commercial truck driver. I-29 in Missouri is a roadway commonly traveled by large 18-wheelers and it is rarely safe to overtake a vehicle unless extreme caution is used in doing so. Despite being two lanes in each direction, this highway still has its share of major traffic accidents. Our Rock Port Missouri truck accident lawyers always recommend that victims secure competent legal representation immediately following any major tractor-trailer accident. The primary reason for this is that evidence, such as truck driver log books, the 'black box', QUALCOMM data, and other critical pieces of information can be lost or destroyed if an attorney fails to file the necessary court documents. Insurance companies and trucking companies know what evidence can hurt them if a truck accident injury victim files a lawsuit against them. To avoid harming your case, contact a Missouri truck accident lawyer immediately by calling toll-free (866) 840-3636, or visit the Missouri truck accident information center at Schultz & Myers law firm.

veer off the roadway to avoid striking the bus, but rather crashed in to the

drivers abide by the same rules of the road as motor vehicle drivers, and are
entitled to the same fairness when it comes to compensation of an injury claim. Remember that wearing a helmet is critical in increasing your chances of surviving a serious motorcycle accident. While Missouri law does not require operators over the age of 18 to wear a helmet, it is highly recommended by officials and doctors in the state. Also remember that other motorists commonly have difficultly seeing and/or hearing motorcycles on the road. Make yourself visible at all times by staying out of blind spots.
